Yes in the early years of my fibromyalgia I was bedridden for days at a time. I would make myself get up to use the restroom and walk to the living room and back. Thank God those days are far and few between now! You will get better!!

Hi Carol, Yes I have been bedridden on multiple occasions with extreme flare up where I'm only able to make it
to the bathroom they are very controlling at time... But now being a single mom of 3 young children I have to force myself to get up and do as much as I can where before hand I had a partner that supported me with the children when flares happened... Hi Carol yes I have been bed ridden by flares but now I always get up even if it's to go lay on the sofa as I have 2 young sons x

I have had days where feeding me and the dogs is all that gets done. Full stop. I have had many days where I was in tears most of the day. I have had days where the fatigue and pain was so bad I had no hope at all, but had to keep going because others depended upon me. I have a family that does not understand that just living life is an effort for me and then you add in stressful situations whether big or small and it gets to be too much.
I don't know that I've ever been forced to stay in bed, but there have been days when I slept on the couch off and in for most of the day.
