For those of you who take supplements, do you take them with other medicine.. I am currently taking Tylenol and Lyrica.. I want to start magnesium and turmeric possibly ginger supplements... is it safe?
Im a Registered Nurse and I think the best person to ask about interactions is your pharmacist.
What I have read is mainly contraindications are mainly anticoagulants, including aspirin. Also if you have gallbladder issues you should be careful. I started taking a turmeric/ginger supplement almost 3 months ago, and I believe it is helpful. Enough to order again, even though it is 3 capsules a day.
@A MyFibroTeam Member how many ginger chews do you eat a day? And how much magnesium do you take a day? I asked my rheumatologist about vitamins and she said none will help.. I don't believe her! I will talk to my primary about it this week.
Veronica2! Just seeing your message, apologies. I actually eat when I feel the need to. I really feel like they help with the inflammation or it’s in my head 😂! But seriously I keep 2-3 bags on hand. There’s even some that comes in bags(not wrapped), with sugar on it. It’s good too BUTTT I prefer the individual wrapped ones. They seem to have that kick to it. I take magnesium at night, just got on Lyrica 2 weeks tomorrow. I even use CBD oil, haven’t really helped much but haven’t made it worse either. Guessing it works diff for everyone. I hope this helps and I hope you get the answers and meds you need.
I have magnesium, ginger chews and just started Lyrica. Hasn’t done any damage as of a week now. BUTTT we’re all diff and haven’t read anything that could cause havoc. Ginger chews are harmless and so is the magnesium. Read up in them and speak with your physician first
