Just had cataract surgery on both eyes and it's thrown me into such a flare! I've been fortunate with past surgeries and procedures but this simple (for everyone else, apparently) surgery has really set me back. My eyes are sensitive, so maybe not so strange, but I sure didn't expect this! Everything is so Very bright! Getting used to Not wearing glasses is weird, too.
I was told that after surgery your eyes would be more sensitive and even not you should wear sunglasses outside. I have glasses that turn dark when I go outside so that works well. I am not even aware of them turning dark or lightening after I go in.
Yes that’s exactly what happened to me. I would go to the follow up appointment after each surgery, and I would be the only one that would have those big black glasses on that they give you. My eyes were already light sensitive before the surgery. It will calm down for you and may take a week or two. After the surgery heals, I still have a little more light sensitive than I would normally. They said that’s normal with cataract surgery. But nothing like it was after the surgery
I have just had my second eye done around a month ago. I am more or less, healed however I have found I have to wear my reading glasses a lot more than before. I can see 20/20 as far as driving, but reading is rediculous and I enjoy reading. I can read on computer with no glasses at all, just my books or cell phone at night.
Yes, my prescription glasses had the darkening lenses; I loved them! I am wearing large sunglasses if I go out at all. We call them my 'Jackie "O"' look 😆😉 I go back in 3 weeks to get Rx readers.
Thanks for the hugs!! Well that is amazing though! the colors must be so vivid and truly a blessing of what God shows us.
