I noticed this more over the past couple years, but when I’m really tired and try to go to bed I start shivering. I can have 3 blankets on or sweating but I still can’t stop shivering until I fall asleep. Sometimes I think it’s so bad I’m shaking the whole bed. Anyone else? Or am I crazy?
I also shiver when I am extremely tired, not sure if it’s body’s reaction to pushing so hard .
Weighted Blanket has been a life saver ! Drinking water Chamomile Tea helps as well .
No same for me.
Just in the last year I have found myself waking up occasionally in the night and I'm shivering. I lay there and try to decide if I'm actually cold or not, you know, like so cold that a person might shiver. Each time I've decided that I'm not cold (or hot and sweating), and yet the only thing that allows me to go back to sleep is to pile on more blankets. On the flip side, there have been plenty of times that I wake up really cold and need to add more blankets, and yet I was not shivering.
I think it's the body trying to regulate its temperature, which we have such a hard time doing. I wouldn't blame it all on anxiety. Our nervous systems just don't work correctly! Know that it is nothing that will hurt you or cause harm, just our thermostats that aren't working correctly!
Thank you all! I do have anxiety but I haven’t noticed shivering with it usually. @A MyFibroTeam Member I don’t take anything either that would cause it.
