Lately my Fibro has been at a peak and I've been relying a lot on warm water bottles and things alike. However I've now developed toasty skin syndrome and should probably not use them for a bit. Any good advice or alternatives?
I had it. It is skin discoloration from using the heating pad all the time and I had it on high. It went away when I stopped using it for awhile. I try not to let it get too hot…
Wow - this is the first I have heard of this syndrome! By the way, if you still need heat, I learned from my doc to put uncooked rice in a clean sock and put in the microwave for 30 secs or so until it warms to a temp you like. You can use all different size socks and put whereever. Not sure this would be a good idea for you though.

Oh i have revido it is mottled skin i long for normal skin between this and psoriosis 😕 is it painfull ? X
@A MyFibroTeam Member @A MyFibroTeam Member Oh didn't realise this might be confusing haha. Its also called erythema ab igne. In my case basically my back currently is all darker pigmented and honestly looks like I've slowly cooked my skin.
