I had the surgery a little over a year ago for weight loss. I have been overweight my whole life even while dieting and exercising. The endocrinologist said it was my only hope for weight loss.
He was right. It has worked wonders and im down 100lbs. I feel fantastic and it definitely improved my fibro symptoms. I do have chronic pain from a back injury which it has done nothing for. But the fibro symptoms have decreased significantly. Sweating, fatigue, exercise intolerance, shortness of breath, joint pain… all improved greatly.
The recovery process was a bit longer for me after the surgery, and I was nauseous and vomiting for about 3 months. But id do it again.
