What are your thoughts on this research that was recently released? I certainly
believe that this is very possible. There are several articles you can google under
fibromyalgia news. It could mean help for many of us.
When I was diagnosed in 1999, my doctor said that it is an Autoimmune disease. He did the first study of Fibromyalgia in our country.

I found the news interesting and a little hopeful. The fact that they were able to take antibodies from a FMS patient, inject into a healthy host and cause that host to have FMS until the antibodies wore off is big. I suspect we will have many options eventually.
I also noticed that Long Hauler COVID patients are now being diagnosed with FMS. That will shine more light on FMS research hopefully.
I think it is autoimmune even if we don’t show the normal markers. Both of my daughters have autoimmune disorders, although not the same, and I think it is too much of a coincidence for all three of us to have similar problems. My dr insists it isn’t autoimmune but I think the medical field just doesn’t know enough (and haven’t had the resources to study it as much as other diseases).
Thank you all for all of the extra info. The link is still working for me, I’m not sure why it doesn’t work for some. You can Google it under fibromyalgia news. I’m praying for all of us that maybe we can even get some more options of medication.
The Long Covid definitely does have many of the same symptoms of fibromyalgia. Hopefully the research will stay focused on help for that as well.
Sounds like good news!
Here's one article I read....
King's College London. "Fibromyalgia likely the result of autoimmune problems." ScienceDaily. ScienceDaily, 1 July 2021.
