Supplement Recommendations?

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question ๐Ÿ’ญ

I started Magnesium Citrate, Probiotics and Collagen Peptides yesterday. The magnesium is good for relaxing muscles, nerves, bone and heart health. The probiotics is to fix issues with my gut and has 8 billion cpuโ€™s. The collagen peptides help my joints, hair, skin and nails. Any other recommendations would be greatly appreciated. None of my medications will interfere with any supplements I checked that out ahead of time. Thanks for your help, itโ€™s greatly appreciated. ๐Ÿ’œ๐ŸŒป

Members enthusiastically shared supplement recommendations for managing fibromyalgia, with popular choices including vitamin D3 for energy and bone health, magnesium malate for energy support, turmeric, CoQ10, B vitamins, and L-glutamine to support gut healing. Several members described how treating leaky gut with probiotics and L-glutamine reduced their pain and symptoms, connecting their fibromyalgia journey to past antibiotic use and gut health issues. A recurring theme was the power of researching natural treatment approaches together as a community, with many members noting visible improvements in energy, pain levels, and skin health from collagen supplementation.

You may want to try Magnesium Malate instead of Citrate, as Malate helps with energy levels.

Surely Missyboo ๐Ÿ™‚ Vitamin D3 is very helpful, I have been on 100 mcgโ€™s per day for about two years as well as 500 mg of Vitamin C for a healthy immune system. I also should see the sun more than I do. I hope this helps you ๐Ÿ’œ๐ŸŒป If you ever have any questions or need to talk, Iโ€™m here for you ๐Ÿ’œ๐ŸŒป I was diagnosed at age 13 and Iโ€™m now 37 so I have alot of experience with all of this. I hope you have a low pain & fatigue kind of day. Gentle Hugs & Positive Vibes ๐Ÿ’œ๐ŸŒป

I did some research and found something that is called leaky gut. Some doctors suggest its a myth, anyway it is suggested that the problem in your gut cause diffrent problems in your body. L-Glutamine coting your inner gut and help restore it. I thought that maybe curing my gut will help my FM and it did.

Thanks so much for this info April. Iโ€™m in the process of trying to treat my fibro naturally so this is super helpful. I have been doing tons of research as well. I also have endometreosis & inflammitory arthritis (diagnosed last April either Lupus or RA) I had pleurisy and was give an antibiotic when I was 13. I got better for a few days after taking the antibiotic then relapsed and had to take another stronger antibiotic. Shortly after was the start of my Fibromyalgia. What youโ€™re saying totally makes sense to me. After the pleurisy I had mono, walking pneumonia, bronchitis several times and tonsilitis several times which were all treated with antibiotics. Kidney infections and utiโ€™s from my Endometreosis which were treated the same way. I started refusing to take any antibiotics a few years ago beacuse they are so bad for your gut among other things. I hope and pray fixing our guts gives us all some relief with our symptoms. I hope you have a low pain and low fatigue kind of day ๐ŸŒป๐Ÿ’œ Gentle Hugs and Positive Vibes ๐ŸŒป๐Ÿ’œ
