Has Anyone Else Ever Been Told You Have Fibro For Many Years, Now I'm Told It's Polymyalgia Rheumatica?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I was diagnosed with fibro after seeing multiple doctors for multiple symptoms. After 15 years I finally met a chiropractor who also had the IBS. But he had an article on fibro. We both came to same conclusion. This is what I had, and began treating it as such. Now doctor ran blood tests, and came back with a different diagnosis. Polymyalgia Rheumatica. Has anyone else been diagnosed differently after 35 years.

Even low dose prednisone have got my white blood cell count outta whack. It raised my blood pressure, going through hot flashes. I've read Polymyalgia rheumatica can also cause diabetes and I was just diagnosed.

What kind of doctor diagnosed Polymyalgia Rheumatica? I’ve had fibromyalgia since childhood. It has gotten worse with each decade. In 2017 I woke up with abject pain...couldn’t push myself out of bed without yelling out in pain. Was diagnosed with Polymyalgia Rheumatica. So then I had Polymyalgia Rheumatica pain ,on top of the fibromyalgia pain. I’m in remission from Polymyalgia Rheumatica now, after 2 1/2 years. But still have fibromyalgia. Hope that helps.🤗🤗🤗

I seem to remember MOM in bed with that. She hurt for a month but lots of cortisone took care of it.....I don’t think I’m crazy...something to try anyway.

I guess I misunderstood, it's in addition to the fibromyalgia. Yay
