Hi everyone. I recently tried a bamboo pillow, due to the fact that my cervical pillow feels like a slab of stone, and neither are working. When I use any pillow other than the cervical pillow, my neck is killing me the next morning. But if I use the cervical pillow, my face hurts and I cannot sleep because it literally feels like a rock. I need the neck support, but also something soft? Does anyone have any suggestions? I am so exauhsted all I want is sleep. I wake myself up crying, tears stain… read more

Hi, I'm in the uk, but there is a us company called pluto that will make any type of pillow to your exact specs and delivery is quick too, approx 2 /3 weeks or less. They ask questions about the problems you have with your current pillow and what you think would make an ideal perfect pillow for you. I have one and I never want to be without it. Also, there's a company called Miramate that produce inexpensive PEMF devices. That is Pulsed Electro Magnetic Field. It is, without doubt, the most highly successful tool for Fibro pain relief and Insomnia. The pain relief itself is incredible, but the insomnia relief is an absolute Godsend, and as you know with fibro, the better sleep you get, the better the pain will be, so it's a win win situation. Do yourself the biggest favour and contact those 2 companies and you will definitely feel less pain, more sleep and more overall peace, in yourself. I really hope things improve for you. Good luck.
I like the My Pillow brand. I just got 2 for Christmas and they are easy to adjust the fill so it supports your neck and it stays that way until you fluff it or readjust it. They come in 3 firmness levels; I got the medium. I also use a memory foam cervical pillow on top of that while I am reading or watching tv in bed, then remove it and use the My Pillow while sleeping.
I have a Tony Little that has tons of little beads in it. It feels hard but you sink into it. I love it!
Sometimes pillow shams have a little padding in them and can soften a hard pillow. And a soft exterior of the pillow sham is nice against the skin.
I also have sleep apnea, before I was diagnosed years ago, I never had a good night's sleep. After I got a CPAP machine, I rest a lot better.
