Coronavirus Vaccine News, UK And USA
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Breaking news this morning is that the United Kingdom has ordered immediate distribution of Coronavirus vaccines. There is a tier approach.

In the USA, the FDA ( Food and Drug Administration) Has a date of December 10th to review and make a decision for the same vaccine and distribution.

How many of you are in the Happy Camp versus in the Wary Camp upon this accelerated research, approval and distribution?

Wary but hopeful.
I have a friend that is a PHD and works for Pfizer. He does not work with coronavirus directly. He advised caution. He did say that Pfizer’s vaccine is not a live virus and might be safer.
As an accountant I worked with a pharmacutical company trying to bring a drug to market. It takes years of clinical trials to make sure a drug is safe long term.
Because of the urgency and daily death toll, we expedited the process.
I will wait a short while before getting a vaccine.

@A MyFibroTeam Member Yes, I heard about the Syphilis study on Finding Your Roots. Terrible. I actually had to change the station because I got so upset. On another note, my brother was stationed at Walter Reed Medical Center during the Vietnam War because he is deaf in one ear. He was experimented on with countless inoculations and drugs. He won't tell me everything except to say that after that experience, he refuses to get any shots. It is horrible what we as human beings do to each other and what all people are put through at one time or another by another group all over the world and through history. As far as this COVID shot, I heard that about 10% will experience very bad side effects and the rest of the people will have side effects which are not as bad as the 10%. And depending on which company's vaccine you get, you may need to get the 2nd shot in 2-3 weeks and go through it again. But they want a certain number of people to get the shots so that we can establish herd immunity. Sorry, forgot to answer the question ... I would wait to have the shot because I am very sensitive to things I put in body.

I am going to be one of the first in line when the vaccine is available to us. I have been reading about people who have had the virus, and believe me, I would rather have some side effects from the vaccine than to suffer as these people have suffered. I know what it feels like to not be able to breathe due to asthma attacks. I don't want to have to go on a ventilator to breathe.

Very Wary. People of my race have been experimented on in the USA which makes us very wary. Have you ever read the story about “Mrs Evers Boys” they were all given Syphillis to see how it affected the body. Also women were experimented on gynecologically to make instruments for gynecological exams. That’s just 2 examples. There are more. I could elaborate, but I’ll just stop here because I don’t won’t to offend anyone’s sensibilities.

I always get a flu shot. I am diabetic and my 86 year old mother lives with me. She also gets a flu shot. She is diabetic as well. I am glad that the healthcare workers are going to get the vaccine first and the long term home residents. Any one on the front lines should get it first. I will be waiting in line when it becomes available for me. I don't care if I get all hairy and start howling at the moon. I don't want to get COVID. I would probably die because I have asthma as well as diabetes. Sure there are always horror stories, but it is the same for everything. I think I will take my chances and leave it to God. I got the flu shot this year and so did my mom. Our arms hurt a bit for a few days, but that was it. It is like any medication. There is probably a horror story for every drug out there. I am not going to live my life in fear of what might happen. I could get hit by a piece of space junk falling from the sky. I am not going to sit around and think about it. If you thought about all the things that can happen to you, you would never leave the house.
I heard stories that Bill Gates was involved with the development of the vaccine and that it was going to change your DNA. I don't buy the conspiracy theories. Let the biggest conspiracy theory leave office and take all his bs with him on January 20th.
