Bupropion Or Wellbutrin
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

Hello Everyone
I am wondering if any of you have found Bupropion/Wellbutrin helpful for nerve pain and fatigue. I have stopped taking Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) after almost a year of taking it with absolutely no results. So disappointed 😞

I am now at a point where I am seriously thinking of going on an antidepressant for the pain and fatigue. I’ve always resisted due to the side effects. Doctors often prescribe Amitryptiline but I tried this years ago for insomnia and it made me feel very… read more

I really liked Wellbutrin. It did give me a acne, but was great for fatigue and fog.

I take the Wellbutrin 300 mg of extended release and I had some side effects that were not that hard to deal with but over about a months time the side effects were not noticeable. I don’t know if they went away or my body just got used to them. I know that my depression is tolerable and I feel a little more energetic, which is great because at 54 and staring at piles of laundry and housework, I need the energy. And, most antidepressants caused weight gain this one does not. I am pleased with the results. I was going to change in the first few weeks and then I realized my symptoms were not as noticeable. I am glad I stayed on it. I am bipolar besides the fibromyalgia. I am in a better place after starting this medicine. That is my experience and we are all different. If you can stay on it and see if the side effects disappear, you may find it helps. Good luck and praying for you.

I am not sure if antidepressants will help your pain, but for me I get a good night rest. I take mirtazapine & I hate the after feeling. For days after I feel groggy. I can't really explaining, but I feel like I'm out of my body watching myself. I have had my dosage reduce & its still the same. My stomach is sensitive to medication. In the past I have taken several types of meds but they all do my body the same.

Be encouraged my friend!😊 I pray things worked out for you!❀❀❀❀❀

I took Wellbutrin/Bupropion for about 3 years doctor uped the dosage I started having migraines worse and ears ringing. So he took me off of that all together and put me on
Savella its for depression and helpscadults with Fibromyalgia. So far it has helped me better then even the Gabapentin did. I am stopping the Gabapentin per pain management orders. It has made me gain back 25 of the 45 pounds it took me a year to lose.

Sadly you will have to accept any medication will make you feel yuck! Try lavender on your pillow drink water no stimulants, no tv and totally quiet relaxing music and hug yourself in the butterfly position occasionally rubbing your tummy in a circular motion. Happy sweet dreams! Xxx
