I had an mri on my back and neck because of the excruciating pain I have everyday, the results say I have widespread degenerative disease on my spine, I was referred to the rheumatologist by my doctor as he suspected fibromyalgia, I have other fibro symptoms as well which cannot be relatable to the degenerative disease they say I have. The letter I received has said I’m being sent to physio, I had physio on my neck last year & it didn’t help. I really don’t know what to do now or what way to go… read more
Hello, I suggested that you go to see a Dr. neurocirujano, they specialize in spine, and can give you a better diagnostic, I think you went to a wrong dr, is my point of view, because I have two back surgery’s and a neck injury, for any back issue you go to a neurosurgeon, fibromyalgia is nerve pain, don’t go to phisical therapy or chiropractors before you see the other dr, because they can worst your condition, I when to google and was reading, go over there and I think you can have surgery all depend of your condition, good luck, and keep us in check, keep researching sometime take more time but is worthy
I spent years going to my Drs with pain all through my body, it was like a steam roller had gone over me, I had numerous blood tests and was being told I didn't have arthritis and it was only by chance the last dr I saw examined me properly and diagnosed fibro, I was put on pregabalin and noticed a big change , keep on at your dr to check .
Thank you GiGi3, I am going to take your advice the bath with Epsom sounds great, next week finally I am going for my Arnold Chiary surgery, hopefully after that my back will be better, Have a beautiful day🌷
I've gone down the same path, I would also return to the MD. Since he's the one who ordered it, have a conversation with him. I was soaking in a bath with Epsom salts this morning, it was amazing for my joint pain. Good luck Patricia 💜🛁💜
Thanks everyone, I’m actually in the U.K. so don’t think they have anything here like you said, I do bath salts, what I do nightly is have a hot bath with bath salts, then I lie on what I call spikes, they are like a bed of nails but made from plastic, got it from Amazon, best 20 quid I spent, it helps the pain for a little while, I then smother myself in hemp cream, on my back and neck and shoulders. I’ve just bought a heating pad as well, which covers the whole of my neck and back, so I’ve been lying on that before bed as well. I also use the spikes as soon as I get out of bed in the morning which helps.
