Neuralgia

Who suffers with trigeminal neuralgia or glossopharyngeal neuralgia? If so, is it the typical neuralgia of intense pain that comes and goes very quickly, or is it the atypical type that has persistent low grade burning, buzzing, numby feelings?

Consitant numbing and tingling to the point of almost feeling numb but still hurtful at the same time if that makes any sense.

I have trigeminal neuralgia as well as occipital neuralgia..i have more occipital now..and it's quick burning stabbing electrical pains..and they freak me out and hurt so bad i fear I'm gonna have an aneurysm or a stroke..but no..just head pains..sometimes they linger especially in my ears..the trigeminal i havent had in a while luckily..i had to go to the hospital multiple times because of that..it's terrible. I would be screaming crying in pain and writhing around in bed it hurt so bad. They would have to give me cocktails of meds at the hosp to control it. It has been probably since the beginning of the year since ive have one of those attacks thankfully. The occipital has been getting kind of worse lately, and the pains move around everywhere along the nerve path, and they are quick..but the pains can last a while..like i can be experiencing multiple pains for 10 to 15 minutes or even longer sometimes..it is usually everyday all throughout the day that it comes and goes though. But it still freaks me out, cuz the pain can be so bad that it stops me in my tracks or makes me drop things...and i have to grin and bear it until the episode passes.. I feel sorry for anyone else who has any of these, and hope that you dont experience it too badly yourself.
