Have you looked at the bfs website? The condition is basically the same as Fibro but with twitching. I went through a year of constant twitching fearing als. From what I read If you have als you will have clinical weakness that sets in fast- like within months you can’t open a can. My neurologist told me that as well and said twitches without weakness are nothing. They went away when I stopped focusing on them. It took months of being ok with them before they slowly started to go away. I’d go to a neurologist if I were you just to confirm.
i'm using electrolytes more now. potassium and magnesium to be exact. they have helped somewhat. but i still get them throughout the day. even now as i'm typing i'm having them. i didn't have potassium yet though. it was one of the first symptoms i reported to the doctor. i even pointed to my leg (when i wasn't fat) to show him the movement. i've even had them so bad it felt like i was pregnant and my baby was moving in there. no babies though lol. it's normal if you want to call it that. use self massage with oils. it will take away the toxins in your muscles and improve it. your hands might hurt but you'll be happy you did.
Yes even though my pain is moderate to mild I get muscle twinges all the time everyday! Hope this eases your mind a bit,
I am in your same boat! I am not yet diagnosed either but have been dealing with fasulations as well as many other symptoms including pain, tingling and muscle weakness. I, too am fearing the worst! Hopefully we get some answers soon. Just know you aren't alone! I think we are about the same age too because I was also born in 1980. Good luck!
In addition to magnesium I am taking methyl b12 which has really calmed down the muscle twitching.
