Hi. I take Savella. Initially I gained weight due to inactivity and a LOT of inflammation. Happy to report that I have lost 45 pounds in the last year and I feel great. I have other GI issues and some intense sadness that I have recovered from. May h've been depressing but I got through it without any antidepressants. I do not feel it has caused me any weight gain.

@A MyFibroTeam Member ... 🙋‍♀️⚘🦋 best of luck with the Nortriptyline! I find it much less sedating than than amitriptyline and my prescribing doctor confirmed that. Still, it is still VERY sedating so I increased extra slowly and used 10mg capsules 'til I found my sweet spot. It does not help me with fibromyalgia pain or RLS but is effective, for me, with neuropathic pain and depression and brain fog. Still, I added adderall for increased mental alertness and a vasoconstrictor to increase my lowered blood pressure caused by the Nortriptyline.

If I'm not mistaken another member recently mentioned she had abnormal heart palpitations while on Nortriptyline. I know a lot of us fibro's people are guessed to have heart arrhythmia. I do but I'm only in 40mg so it doesn't seem to affect any arrhythmia. I have no known heart disease.

I know this is a lot of information but I thought I'd give it to you all at once so you're not patchworking data.

One person on my team recently said they went on it and was experiencing some weight gain. I was about to try it but I started on Nortriptyline and it had a positive effect on my depression and peripheral neuropathy so for the time being I'm in a holding pattern.

Are you thinking of trying it? It's always good to hope ⭐⚘⭐⚘⭐
