The previous answers sound right on target. But if your actual breast tissue is hurting....not the muscle under the breast & not the rib bones or sternum bone, you may want to have that breast pain checked out by your gynecologist/DR. Sometimes breast pain is a sign of an infection in a mammary gland, lymph node or a cyst which is common for women. I have experienced the costochondritis pain; it can be really scary! The last one I had was about 6 months ago & I could swear I was having the "big one" & was checking out. I prayed & was wondering if my will was up to date. I'm not kidding....the pain is that intense. I couldn't drive myself to the ER if I wanted to & I'm too cheap to call an ambulance out so I just "rode it out." Thank God I live alone or anybody witnessing the incident would swear I was having a massive heart attack. That being said, learn the symptoms for what it's like when a woman has a heart attack as it is different than when a man experiences one. Knowing the symptoms will help you stay calm if you have another costochondritis flare. It's easy to panic when you're in pain & dont know what's going on.
Hi Bevy💗... it sounds like Costochondritis. Many of us have this, I have it on and off, but this winter is the worst for me. The only thing that soothes it a little is heating pad. I can’t take meds, I’m so allergic to everything. Biofreeze helps a little. If it persists you might get it checked so you know for sure what it is. My ribs always hurt in front and back..can’t wear bra. It also aggravates my Fibro, and visa versa. I’m sorry your having pain my friend, and hope you can get some relief sooon💗. Also, lifting and pushing or pulling etc make it worse for me. Sending you gentle hugs😊 with love🦋💗🦋💗, Love Deb
yes. It is called Costochondritis
It is a condition that many people with fibromyalgia gets it.
You have to be Diagnose with it before you can be treated for it.
Explain to your doctor what is going on.
I know it’s painful. Inflammation gets up under your ribs and in the joint. It feels like a heart attack. Taking deep breaths and coughing can hurt in that area too.
Prayers and gentle hugs
Stretching helps me the most and yoga. Search Pinterest for stretching for fibromyalgia and yoga for fibromyalgia
Yes. I get that badly. My pectoralis muscles are tight and thenmuscles inbetween ribs and back ribs hurt. One of my normal everyday pain spots. I am scheduled for breast reduction in late februry and hope it will relieve some of it. Because my breasts are painful too.
