Members strongly confirmed that heavy, leaden legs are a common fibromyalgia symptom, with many describing the feeling as dragging cement blocks or tree trunks and some experiencing sudden leg weakness that causes falls, prompting the use of canes or walkers for stability. Several members shared additional sensations including burning pain described as hot water being poured on the legs, unexplained cold patches on thighs and buttocks even in warm environments, and legs that seem to lose their ability to function normally. A recurring theme was the fear and frustration of unpredictable mobility challenges that have forced many to limit activities they once enjoyed, along with questions about whether these symptoms might be related to neuropathy or heightened reactions from coexisting conditions like arthritis.

Sure is! Some days it takes deep concentration to put one foot in front of the other. Your mantra becomes one two one two lol😉

When my legs are acting up it feels like they weigh a ton! Not sure why they feel heavy. It was a question I was going to ask too

Aye, I do .. two legs like hauling lead pipes or large cement blocks around... the other thing I find is I can be walking and then they just give up and I fall. So, been having to use a cane on bad days .. so that I just have a source of balance.

The lead is a good description, I dont feel the cold but mine do burn as if someone pours hot water on them .. that was an early symptom for me .

I've had fibro for decades and the heavy leg thing just started recently. It's horrible! It's like a leaded tree trunk. Both legs. Do either of you also feel cold on the front of your thighs? I thought it was a sensation only but this morning the skin on only the front of my thighs were red, like they'd been exposed to actual freezing temperatures. This can't be good. Any thoughts?
