I have taken cocodomol for 4 years. Tried to come off them and had very bad withdrawals. Doctor said come off gradually. Problem is how do you cope with the pain without pain relief?

I also take painkillers every day!! Without them, my life would be hell so I choose to get relief however I can! I take them at the same time everyday to try and stay ahead of it and I can tell by my pain level pretty much what time of day it is!! People can say whatever they want but until they are in our shoes, don’t preach to me!! This opioid thing going on makes it so hard for us that really do need them and it makes me so mad! The people overdosing have a choice and are using it for a high yet we with chronic pain do not have a choice if we want some quality of life and we do not get a high whatsoever as it goes straight to our pain!! I don’t care what anyone says, I will not stop taking them unless they stop working!!!
Okay, I’m so glad I’m not the only one taking these and I hope we all stay strong and true to ourselves so we don’t suffer and to hell with all the negative comments! @A MyFibroTeam Member try getting some empty capsules which you can buy at a drug mart or other stores, and funnel the Kratom into the capsule and put the other end on. It is so much easier to take it this way! Okay, wishing everyone the best, most painless months ahead!!
Unfortunately I would not be able to cope without pain relief. I take morphine pregablin and oramorph
ElainaB, I admire your resolve. I have to take something because my pain gets so severe, I can’t bear it... I have a “Fibro visit” next week with my doctor... I’m always on the lookout for new pain relief that I can tolerate without resorting to opiods...
I feel uneasy taking them because of all the bad publicity but they are the only ones that work for me. Your post really helped me, thanks 😊
