Any Positive Autoimmune Markers With Fibro?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question ๐Ÿ’ญ

Anyone on here have positive autoimmune markers? My ANA +1:80, RA Factor normal 14 mine was +249, and SED Rate 49 (I take Aleve and Tylenol sinus throughout the day to help with pain) all came back positive. My rheumatology said none of the positives are high enough for a clear cut diagnosis and I have to wait until the numbers go higher. I requested the test because I felt new symptoms. My autoimmune markers have always been negative except my SED Rate. Please help. Do I have fibromyalgia aloneโ€ฆ read more

Iโ€™ve had positive Ana and elevated sed rate since April of 2017. My rheumatologist was testing me every 4 months for autoimmune disease but nothin has turned up. Iโ€™ve been told a positive Ana without a clear positive of any disease is nothing. I would keep following up with a rheumatologist so they can keep an eye on it. Best wishes.

I have a very high ANA and SED rate and they've never found anything but the fibro ,Gerd and sjogren's in years of testing.

My markers are normal to good and they were measured during my most recent and ongoing months long bedridden state.

I'm surprised that you didn't get a lot of responses to your question here. If you can, search the internet for more info with your specific lab results and possibly consider a second opinion.

Aleve and aspirin both help me but I use them sparingly as they upset my stomach. I hope that you get some clarity and get to feeling better soon ๐Ÿ˜˜

Thank you. I've been dealing with so many health changes since Dec 2013. The fibro was diagnosed 2015 and 2016 raynaurds was diagnosed. My first diagnosis was RSD but im in remission from it now. So I have been dealing with all of this for 6 years. Hopefully answers will come soon. Thanks for your response all.๐Ÿ˜˜

I actually asked my Dr. For the test because I was having new symptoms. My RA factor was 249 the normal is 13 or less. My CCP is 149 and the normal is 13 or less. She wants to wait for the numbers to go up. The ANA was a positive because it was greater than 1:80. She says it must be over 300. I think I need further testing and requested anti-centromere, anti-dsDNA, anti-histone, and One that shows which autoimmune disease it can possibly be. I don't want to sit around and get worst. So, hopefully these other test will bring clarity.

Thanks for both responses. You both are appreciated. Thank you so much.
