I’d ask for an epidural see if there let you have that instead

I have a vitamin d deficiency too, but yes I do get pins and needles in my hands, legs and feet. Sometimes i get them on my arms but its rare.
My hands (mainly right hand) gets stiff if im using it for a while like preparing dinner and things like that it just becomes stiff and painful.
My skin becomes very sensitive to touch sometimes it all just sucks!
From what i was told the lumbar puncture is used to rule out any other illnesses and it also helps to see what type of multiple sclerosis you have.

My doctor referred me to get an MRI of my brain, my main symptoms are fatigue, i usually loose feeling in my legs quite often and have these strange headaches where my head feels really heavy but empty at the same time i end up fainting when it happens. Maybe ask your doctor for an MRI of the brain and tell her/him your concerns.

They are hard to do under general anesthesia due to positioning they like you to sit forward or lay on your side if your totally out it’s much harder to get into the csf fluid. You can ask for some versed and pain medication like fentanyl which is what they give for colonoscopies and other outpatient procedures. Gentle hugs and best of luck
