Explained here (great article!): https://butyoudontlooksick.com/articles/written...
Have you ever used it to explain or manage things? How did it go?
I actually used this in my disability hearing. The judge said he had never had a visual aid when someone has explained how quickly our energy levels deplete and how we have to be careful in our choices daily. ( I find out next month if I was approved or not )
I have. But I prefer to say that I feel like a cell phone that's charge is broken. My phone (body) doesn't charge no matter how much I plug it in (rest/take care). One phone call (task) could take my battery to 15% or not. I never know and I have to wonder if that call is worth making. I think it's an analogy that helps because a phone like that would drive a person crazy, but that's our bodies in reality.
Esawyer,
Yeah I had to go through a full hearing. They dont quite recognize fibromyalgia as a full disability here unless you have several coexisting conditions. Which i have chronic fatigue. Anxiety, memory issues from the meds I was on and now they have me off of them and the pain is ridiculous but they need to determine if being off the meds helps my memory or not. I also have IBS, migraines and just recently was dx with occipital lobe seizures. By me they hate awarding disability benefits to anyone under 50.
You needed to go in front of a judge, sorry to hear that
Please keep me posted on the spoon theory method. I'm on my 5th appeal and ready to lose my marbles!! π«
these judges really don't give a poop.
