Vitamin B12 Deficiency
I have been reading quite a bit in the news recently about VitaminB12 deficiency. The symptoms are pretty much like the symptoms of Fibro. In fact I ticked 8 out of the 9 symptoms. Has any one had their Vitamin B12 levels checked? I aim to when I can get an appointment with my GP.
There is so much information here, thank you, everyone. It's quite something to look into that could be life-changing and the deficiency does match a lot of fibro symptoms. For those who are afraid of needles or don't like vitamins, I went searching for foods rich in B12 and found clams, liver, fish, crab, fortified cereals, low-fat dairy, cheese, and eggs. Whey powder and yogurt also have it.
B12 is vitally important to many functions. Be sure you get the methylcobalamin version. A deficiency of B12 can cause serious symptoms, including fatigue, nerve damage, digestive issues and neurological problems like depression and memory loss. Don't' forget natural versions of the other key B vitamins. Jigsaw Health offers the natural B vitamins, as opposed to the synthetic man made B vitamins that are in your food and poisoning you daily..Look into this deeply. Good Luck.
I have had b12 deficiency for the past 15 years. Originally I was gettin a injection every 3 months then after a well I went to every 6 weeks now for the past 5 years every month. But over the past few years various other fibro symptoms came into play and wen the widespread chronic pain started last year my gp thinks I've had fibro for a while before I was diagnosed with it.
I am taking vit b12, B1 and b6 injections everyday when I have flare up and it is very helpful. Just came from the pharmacy and starting to inject myself. I am on holiday and climate change is killing me.But it always helps.Try it.
I have B12 injections every 12 weeks been having B12 injections for many years then I got diagnosed with Fibromyalgia last year 2018 but got told I have had Fibromyalgia since 2017
