Yes that’s exactly what’s going on with me. I too have mentioned this to my dentist several years ago and was also blown off. The sides of my tongue rub against the rear teeth. It’s just uncomfortable, takes up too much space in my mouth. Had a CT scan about 3 weeks ago looking for other things and the report said the base of my tongue had thickened since 2009 and 2013 scans. Also being tested for Sjogren’s and don’t know if there’s any relation there?

Yes,I have had that happen to me it was something very new to me as well my tongue felt swollen I ask my dentist she blew me off what must we do when people don't care about your well being.
