I was able to talk to the doctors office a bit today and the doctor decided to send over a script for Cymbalta. I'm of course a bit scared to take it, since I've bounced around medicines a lot in the past few months and all have had horrible side effects.
I know everyone is different, but if you take/took this does it help? What were some side effects, if you had any? Is this a medication that if I start taking, it'll be difficult to come off of?

Thank you for pointing me to the search bar. Unfortunately either the site has an issue or it may be my browser, but when trying to utilize the search bar it does not work for me. I enter what I wish to search, but it just takes me to the recent posts. Scrolling through possibly days worth of posts to find one similar to the questions I have is very time consuming. But thank you.
I tried cymbalta and was on it for about 6 mos, it was horrible, I felt beside myself most of the time and it really didn’t help with the pain. Sorry, I know it works for some people. Maybe try doing a daily diary while you’re taking it, just to track your moods, pain, anxiety. Just a thought. Good luck!
Yes I've taken Cymbalta and it also acts as a mood stabilizer which I don't tolerate at all. I have PTSD and depression. So any mood stabilizers led me down a suicidal path. I'm not knocking any of these but, as you said people react differently. If you've ever been on a mood stabilizer without side effects you'll do great. I will say this, in the short period of taking Cymbalta , it did give me some pain relief. Good luck with this. Michelle
Kristen a lot of people tried cymbalda and it helped them. Everyone reacts differently as you mentioned. It did not work for me. I had tremors. Give it a trial and see the effect on you. Warm hugs
I agree, the search feature is limited and thus is overly time consuming for word or topic search. I wish that they would devote more effort in developing it so it'd be a useful feature... @A MyFibroTeam Member
