Right now I am at my personal limit with Lyrica. Any more and I won't be able to drive, etc. It was suggested to give acupuncture and/or massage a try. Thank you in advance for your thoughts and suggestions.
I have excellent results when the person administering the accupuncture knows what they're doing. At the clinic I go to, acupuncture is free. Unfortunately, the only thing I get from it is small bruises. Sometimes a headache. My current my acupuncturist learned in China. When I go to him I feel like a new person. Most of my pain is gone. For a while. . .
Farzana, so glad acupuncture has helped you. My hands used to shake so badly it was nearly impossible to write. And like you said, I just told the acupuncturist about and the palsy-like shaking is much, much better. I've had a fourth treatment. A great relief! :)
I had extraordinary relief from anxiety with acupuncture. After my first treatment, I was as limp as a dishrag because all the anxiety I was holding in my body was gone. However it can be painful because where the needle is inserted could be on a particular meridian and it could hurt, send tingling up and down the area feeling almost as if you had experienced an electric shock. On the other hand, that is an indication that that is the right spot. I get regular treatments especially for anxiety.
I, too am at my personal limit with Lyrica. And my freedom to drive will be gone if Lyrica increases. I have had massage, which does help, as well as acupuncture. The acupuncture does help. I've had two visits with an acupuncturist. There was immediate relief after each visit, but the pain returned in some areas within a few days, but not as bad as before. The second visit has had positive results as well. I am looking forward to my third appointment and I recommend trying acupuncture..
I have done both....I found massage the most helpful....
