Members connected over experiencing various forms of tongue and mouth pain, including burning sensations, tightness, cramping, ulcers, and metallic tastes, with many noting these symptoms come and go unpredictably. Several members shared that managing stress and anxiety appears crucial, describing how alcohol or medications like Klonopin (which releases GABA) temporarily relieve symptoms, while practices like yoga, meditation, prayer, and anti-inflammatory diets offer longer-term support. A recurring theme was the emotional toll of worrying about every new symptom despite extensive medical testing, with members finding comfort in understanding fibromyalgia as a central nervous system disorder where the brain misdirects pain signals throughout the body.

Truly, it is. You're right. Have you heard of the Dynamic Neural Retraining System? I ordered it, and I've been working to learn how to implement it in my life. There are several people who have recovered from brain related illnesses with it. I'll hopefully be able to report good things from it. It's slow going. Of course. But I so want to change. Prayer works, but we get in the way with unbelief. Or doubt. Or fear. I want to think beautifully again. Like I did when I was a little girl. When I feared nothing. I think that's what Jesus wants us to be.

I also had severe left side tongue pain for months include an ulcer that was removed and not malignant. After a couple of months the pain came right back. I certainly believe it is yet another fibromyalgia symptom. Enough already!
