Low Blood Pressure
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have been hearing people talk about a lack of oxygen to the brain being a cause of inflammation, etc. I've seen where some say hyperbaric oxygen can cure fibromyalgia. So as I looked for ways to increase oxygen to the brain (exercise is certainly one), I find where low blood pressure will decrease oxygen to the brain. Wow, I have low blood pressure. The other night it was 81/60, though it is usually 90/70. Do any of you have consistently low blood pressure? Cause maybe this is one path to… read more

Before this flare I have been in, I started having POTS symptoms. Never had those before. I knew there was some connection between the POTS thing and this flare cause I haven't had a flare in a year and a half. When I wear compression stockings, I notice certain symptoms are better. At any rate, it is worth looking into. Ways to raise blood pressure are to drink 2-3 liters water per day with lots of salt. Yes, that sounds crazy. Most people have to restrict salt. But for those of with low blood pressure, it is necessary apparently.

At the moment im having a flare up. I have bought an electric blanket it keeps me warm as well as relaxeď to ease the tensed muscles to ease hot/sore muscles i use bio freeze jel.To ease my back pain i use a tens machine. Wheñ fatige gets the better of me I have to rest until I feel a little more energised.

I find writing a journal helpful when"fibro fog" occurs, as I may find many things or just one thing that triggers them. I also make lists of things as my memory is shocking. Seone can tell .e something ad day 10 am and by 11 am ive forgotten it.

I find when im in extreme pain I vape cbd oil. It works wonders. Ibs, well the pain from this illness is excruciating and I find the peppermint casules help ease the pain best.

The pain all over my body is suppose to be relieved somewhat if I exercise but I have tried hydrotherapy and aquafit and found them too strenuous so I bought a hot tub which works wonders its warm relaxing and the water jets relax my muscles I can also do some simple legs and arms exercises and stretches at my own pace.

Im having steroid injections in my back hip and legs next week im hoping it gives me some pain free days/weeks so I can go visit my son as traveling there and the long walk from the station to his home is not possible. If I am in good health after the injections I will go to see my son, using my scooter will make the journey there and back a little more bearable.

My doctor always jokes that my blood pressure is slightly north of dead. It's typically in the 90/60 range. Now I'm curious about the link between that and my crushing fatigue and the whole-body pain that makes me feel like I've just been hit by a truck. At any rate, it's something to ask at my next appointment.

I have had low blood pressure issues for a long time! when looking into fibro before getting diagnosed, POTS came up a lot based on my symptoms. it just feels like blood isn’t getting everywhere in my body, and that is why i’m so achy. i would look into POTS if you have bp issues
