Members enthusiastically confirmed experiencing low blood pressure since their fibromyalgia diagnosis, with many reporting readings averaging around 90-105 over 60-75 and elevated pulse rates in the 85-99 range. Several members shared frustration with a common problem: when they visit the hospital in severe pain, their blood pressure rises to what appears normal for most people, leading medical staff to dismiss their pain as not serious despite them being in agony moments before. A recurring theme was the challenge of advocating for appropriate care when low baseline blood pressure is misunderstood by healthcare providers unfamiliar with their medical history.

That's what happens to me when I go into hospital or they send someone out because I'm in pain and they taken my blood pressure and its normal and they think I'm fine. I'm getting really fed up with it as sometimes I'm crying in agony minutes beforehand

I have always had very low blood pressure, my blood pressure ranges from 90/60 and sometimes go as low as 70/50. That has always been my normal. It makes it hard though when I am in pain and have to go to the hospital because then my blood pressure goes to 120/80 or higher and they say i'm not in pain because my blood pressure is fine. So now I can only go to the hospital where my dr works because he knows my history.
