If you have taken Cymbalta, what was your overall experience? Did it help with the crazy nerve sensations?

Members shared mixed experiences with Cymbalta for nerve sensations, with some finding it helpful for anxiety and depression but not necessarily for nerve pain itself, while others reported worsening nerve sensations or severe reactions that made them unable to tolerate the medication. Several members described alternative approaches that provided relief, including vitamin B12 and methylfolate, medical marijuana, gabapentin combined with Tylenol, and natural supplements like turmeric and ginger root. A recurring theme was that everyone's body responds differently to medications, and finding the right treatment often requires trial and error while working closely with doctors to manage side effects and discover what works best for each individual.

I don't know if it helped with the nerve sensations but taking vitamin B12 and Methylfolate helped with it. Cymbalta has helped calm down my anxiety and depression. I was pretty much at a point where I thought I was going to be put on a PIP at work because my depression was so bad I would just break down crying at work because of how horrible the nerve sensations felt. It literally felt like electricity running through my hands and feet and never stopped

Medical marijuana was the only thing that did anything for the nerve sensations.

I had a severe reaction to Cymbalta and also to the other SSRI medications. I cannot take them as I have very severe reactions to them. I cannot take these type rx medications. I also found I am allergic to morphine when I was in the hospital and they were giving it to me through an IV. I cannot take Plaquenil for the same reason. What I can take is a combination of 800 Gabapentin with 500 mg Tylenol together every 8 hours (3 x day). Everyone is different and what they can tolerate and what they cannot.

It helps me I am on 60mg once a day. I do notice a bit more of the brain fog since I been on it. Other than that I love it.

Funny. I am wondering if I am reacting to supplements and medicines lately.
