I personally find the TENS unit is extremely helpful with muscle spasms while wearing it. I also found it could help to numb pain. I must also disclose that I found it very short term relief only. Acupuncture did nothing except empty my wallet lol. I tried it, and I kept at it for a few years. Didnt help at all.

Acupuncture was DONE with a Tens unit. He still fired me after 2 months of trying. Acupuncturist told me he couldn’t help and I was wasting my $$.

I had less pain when I did acupuncture, but it became very expensive to do. So, I got a tens unit and it works wonderfully for me, not as well as the acupuncture but a good substitute.

I do like my Over the counter TENS from Target ,, seems to help certain areas

I didn't find acupuncture helpful. It just hurt more.
