Has anyone been diagnosed with fibro and lupus???
A friend of mine mentioned to me the other day that she started seeing a new doctor and she was diagnosed with lupus along with her fibro. I was telling her about different symptoms that I gave had in the last few months that I have been blaming my fibro on but she said it sounds more like lupus.
I suspected lupus for a while myself. Fortunately my Ana test came back negative. Having hashimotos thyroiditis and family history of lupus, I was a high risk candidate. Oddly enough I still get the butterfly rash before a bad flare up of fibro so that is strange. If ur worried ask your reumatologist about the testing for lupus. Never hurts to get tested. If you have one autoimmune disease, u could get another. Good luck and my prayers are with you!
Some people on here have both :( getting the blood test should answer the question for sure. Symptoms for both are similar
I'm lucky I don't have lupus that test was one of the first tests my Rheumatoid doctor took. I have a feeling it is connected to a lot of us.
@Sanza I had the blood work done back in Dec and it came back incunclusive so I have to go back in a few months to have it checked again.
