Members shared widely varied experiences with gabapentin for fibromyalgia pain, with dosages ranging from 300 mg to 4800 mg daily and effects differing greatly from person to person. Several members found gabapentin helpful for nerve pain, burning sensations, and overall pain management, though many noted troubling side effects including severe brain fog, dizziness, blurred vision, hair loss, and hallucinations, with some choosing to lower their dose or stop entirely. A recurring theme was the trial-and-error nature of finding the right medication and dose, with some members ultimately finding better relief through alternatives like pregabalin or medical marijuana.

There are so many brands of CBD oil...you have to keep trying until you find the right one. I use a straight CBD oil for the day and I smoke some 20% THC weed at night.
Thank you Canada for legalization!

Neither gabapentin nor Lyrica helped me enough to make life bearable. I finally decided to try medical marijuana and what a world of difference! I feel nearly like my pre-fibro self. I do get some pain but the brain fog and lethargy and are so diminished. Thought I was going to lose my job because of forgetting things, once I started the medical marijuana, my boss has said he can see the vast difference.

I take 600mg in morning and afternoon and 900mg at night, at first it made me tired but not anymore. I notice my nerve pain and neuropathy is better on it.

Yeah I take 700mg a day and on 3 different anti depression meds one is amitriptyline which is supposed to help fibromyalgia and honestly I have noticed a bit of a difference with pain, it’s still there but doesn’t seem as bad but the other symptoms like brain fog etc.... are still in full force, I was told to take magnesium too which is supposed to help now I started them all at the same time so I guess I really don’t know which one is helping the most but I’m too scared to stop any so it’s worth looking into pet and I hope you find something that eases the pain a bit for you xxx
