I’ve not used this sight before so hello to all you sufferers. Why I’m asking is because I’m not sure if I’ve got fibromyalgia because you have several parts of your body hurting I can see from the research I’ve done.
Thank you
Look forward to hearing from anyone.
Yes. Many of us start out with only pain in one or two areas but unfortunately it spreads to our whole body. Mine changed daily when I first got it. One day my left arm hurt the next day my right leg hurt. I thought I was a hypochondriac because of it. Definitely go to a rheumatologist to get a diagnosis. Good luck and we are here if you have any questions.
I first got fibro in the same areas but it was after three shoulder surgeries so I just thought it was that. Then the fatigue and depression took over and that’s when I started asking my doctor. First time he checked the pressure points it was a no but a year later, oh yes, it hurt all over! Sounds to me like you are at the beginning of a long dark road but know we are all here for you!
I believe that you are required to have pain in all 4 quadrants of your body to be officially diagnosed with fibromyalgia (along with pain in at least 11 of the 18 tender points), though that doesn't necessarily mean that you don't have it, I'd definitely ask your doctor to do an exam to be sure. Regardless, I hope you find some relief from the pain <3
I have muscle pain only in neck, shoulder,s and upper back which I thought was due to a broken neck I suffered in 2016. I have heard that some have localized areas. I always carried tension in my shoulders so I guess the broken neck chose that area to aggravate.too.
Mine hurts night and day all the pain in the places you mentioned. Kimlane
