People with FM need down time by themselves. When my husband used to fly for work and be gone several days I loved it. Totally relaxing no expectations. Enjoy the pleasure of quiet to yourself time.
Yes! I tend to avoid anything that will cause serious stress and most situations these days do! Lol! I dont have cable or read the news, avoid sad documentaries, i think I might be the only person in my 30s not on social media at all (no Facebook or Instagram!) I like to see the world through the lense of my children and meditation using my Abide prayer app. Im married but my husbands support is about 40% at best so I find I try to tune him out as well by avoiding him especially when he’s impatient about my condition. He works long hours so he is gone a lot and I find when it’s just me and the kids, it’s actually far easier and happy. They can snuggle in the bed with me at night and we read stories and take our time waking up on the weekends. I don’t stress about stuff, i let them play and make their messes and we just clean at the end of the day rather than driving ourselves mad trying to cleanup after every little activity. I have a small circle of people im in communication with but when you get hit with something like FMS, you really narrow down your circle bc you realize just how petty and insignificant most people seem to think and feel. I cant waste time being around people complaining about bad cell phone reception when im over here mopping floors with numb limbs. Sorta just makes you have more gratitude for the days where you just feel 50% better than most and you dont have time for all the petty bullshit out there.
I LOVE being home!! I do get lonely sometimes and would love a dog but my husband of course hates them so that’s out of the question. When I have to go out for groceries or anything, I absolutely hate the idea cause I know the pain I’ll be in!! Rather just have my own company than try to get someone to understand this stupid illness!
Me! Though at times I do get lonely but it is less stressful.
Yes me less people less stress
