I have been taking Gabapentin for along time now and they do help the pain ! When I have a flare I don’ Know what I would do without them ! The downside I sleep all the time when taking them every four hours! Usually loss a few days but it proves they work.x

I am currently titering up my Gabapentin. So far has been fantastic. Have a little bit of tiredness and grogginess in the morning, but it has really helped with the pain. Both my Fibro doc and my Pain clinic (for occipital neuralgia) doc recommended this.

You should always consult your GP before coming of a repeat prescription drug ! I have been on Gabapentin for a number of years and have never gained an ounce of weight and I don’t know what I would do some days if I had not got my meds! Hope you can get pain sorted , I would advise you to have a chat to your doctor! Sending gentle 🤗 hugs

Well, like an idiot, I thought I was taking far too many pills in a day and thought I’d slowly get rid of my gabapentin!! I am in agony everyday now and I honestly think I’m going to give in and start taking them again! I do recall years ago thinking they were doing nothing for me and started weaning off it but realized before they were all gone, that yes they were helping and started back up! My son is getting married in June/19 so after reading about everyone with the weight gain with gabapentin, that was another reason I decided to give it up but losing weight won’t do me any good if I’m too sore to even attend. Sorry to go on but I’ve been struggling with this for a bit cause then I also think maybe it’s just cause it’s winter cause I’m always worse then and should I try to stick it out? If anyone has any thoughts, please let me know as well cause I’ve been gonna ask on here what everyone thinks!! To me it should be obvious, just go back on it but I also had really bad withdrawals getting off it and was mad at myself for increasing it so high in the first place but it really seems like the only answer??😢
