Members responded to someone experiencing painful tongue sores and burning mouth, with many sharing that they experience similar symptoms including swollen tongues, sores on the sides, teeth marks, and painful gums. Several members offered practical suggestions such as rinsing with Biotene, using dry mouth tablets, and seeking medical evaluation for possible thrush, which can be treated with prescription swish medication that brings relief within days. A recurring theme was the chronic and debilitating nature of these oral symptoms, with some members experiencing them constantly or several times a year, and frustration over being told the sores would resolve on their own despite ongoing severe pain.

Its sounds like thrush. I had it for the first time a few months ago. It is very painful. My tongue felt like it was raw. Go see your doctor and get a prescription. Its a medicine you swish several times a day and it will feel better in a few days but finish the meds or it will come back. I made that mistake. Good luck.
