During flares it is normal for some with Fibro to have what sufferers would call blindness as they can't see even with glasses or contacts but in reality it is cloudy like looking through a frosted shower curtain or fog. The muscles and nerves that go to the eyes tighten and cause this. Until they release (seconds, minutes, hours or days) it will stay that way. Trigger Point Injections (with Lidocaine) or for those who can tolerate it Dry Needling into the base of the skull, sides of neck, and for some into the upper shoulders alleviate this problem.

My vision has definitely gotten bad. I always had 20/20 vision til I got fibro and I now need glasses for reading and glasses for far away! Also have dry eyes! Ugh!!!!!

I have blurred vision. I also have dry eye that's very bad but that's from the meds.

I get blurred vision and I have dry eyes my vision has also worsened a great deal in the past year. My eye Dr said that fibro affects the eyes as well.

My vision has definitely worsened. I need prescription reading glasses and to see far distances. A mixture of ageing worsened by fibro.
