Members overwhelmingly agreed that warmth is the most effective remedy for stiff, painful hands in the morning, with many recommending soaking hands in warm water with Epsom salt, using heating pads, or wearing compression gloves to ease discomfort. Several members shared practical strategies including copper-infused compression gloves, capsaicin lotion, fingerless supportive gloves during intense pain, hand wax treatments, and even doing dishes as a gentle way to combine warm water with movement. A recurring theme was the importance of keeping hands warm throughout the day to prevent stiffness and cramping, with members noting that consistent warmth had significantly reduced their symptoms and improved mobility.

Everyone who said warm is right on. Keeping hands and feet warm help to loosen them up and make them move better and it helps get rid of the stiffness. Try keeping them warm as much as possible. I had hand cramping, stiff fingers that I could not even move that twisted and hurt so much until my doctor said to keep them warm and now they do not do that anymore.

The best thing is to warm them up. A heating pad or soaking the in warm water with epson salt might ease the pain.

that sucks... sorry to hear that... @A MyFibroTeam Member trying to think of something that brings on dry warmth... I just crawl under a blanket and put my hands against my body to keep them warm some days...

I lean towards warmth! ๐Ÿ˜ The very thought of cold makes my hands hurt. Definitely a warm/hot soak. I wear supportive fingerless compression gloves at the times when they really ache intensely.
