Is Stress Related Pain Normal?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

Today I had an argument with my husband and within minutes the soles of my feet hurt so much I had to sit down. The pain in my skin elsewhere also increased. Does anybody else have this happen to them?

I've noticed that my mood and pain levels are intertwined. If I'm stressed out or something emotional happens soon after (not as quickly as yours seems to be, however) my pain level will go up. It also happens in reverse: if I have a particularly painful day/moment, my mood drops without any other event to explain it.
I've taken to trying to track my pain and moods as a way to be mindful of what the origins of how I'm feeling are. It's something I learned while I was participating in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

I think it should be required for our families to go to the doctor with us so that she could explain to them what FM is like.
