Members connected over the surprising discovery that vision problems like blurry vision, dry eyes, watery eyes, floaters, and night blindness may be linked to fibromyalgia, with many expressing relief at learning they weren't imagining these symptoms. Several members shared practical strategies including using artificial tears (Olopatadine, Tears Naturale, Restasis), getting regular eye exams to rule out other conditions, and understanding that myofascia around the eyes and optic nerve can contribute to these issues. A recurring theme was the importance of validating each other's experiences while still advocating for proper medical evaluation, as some vision problems may be fibro-related while others require separate treatment.

It because of the nerves at the back of the eyes

Eye pain: Lack of sleep, stress, anxiety and fatigue can exacerbate eye pain. Dry eye and cluster headaches also cause me to have eye pain. Potential blindness: I was shocked to find the nerves that lead to the eyes can become inflamed due to our FM, and in extreme cases can cause partial or total blindness.

My sister, who also has Fibro, has said her eyes keep getting worse too. Mine have over the last couple of years! I also have temporomandibular joint disorder and never thought about it being linked to my vision

Definitely blurry vision all the time without glasses! I realize your eyes weaken as we get older but mine happened so fast after I got fibro!!
