Does anyone have experience with this? If so, has it affected treatment options?

My GP did tell me that I have some Hypermobile Joints and said some of my pain may be down to that, but all the other symptoms and tender spot test pointed to Fibro. I do have an insicinal Hernia which is near where my Belly Button used to be, it is not a massive issue yet, pain comes and goes

Hi Cindy. I have Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) Type 3 (Benign Joint Hypermobility Syndrome). Fibro is a symptom in my case. I have also have a hiatus hernia and coeliac disease with it. Congenital hernias with EDS are not uncommon. Men tend to get hiatus hernia and woman tend to get supra-umbilical hernias. EDS tends to run in families and some types are hereditary. Hydrotherapy can help manage the condition as it is important to keep the core muscles in reasonably good tone.
