Members shared their experiences wondering if they had MS before receiving a fibromyalgia diagnosis, with many describing how remarkably similar the symptoms are between the two conditions, including fatigue, pain patterns, and neurological concerns. Several members mentioned that MS testing was among the first steps their doctors took to rule out the condition, while others expressed they are still considering further testing due to ongoing symptoms that overlap with MS, such as muscle twitching, cognitive issues, and mobility changes. A recurring theme was the challenge of distinguishing between fibromyalgia and other conditions like MS, Lupus, and Sjogren's Syndrome, with members emphasizing the importance of thorough testing and trusting their instincts when symptoms don't fully align with their current diagnosis.

There seem to be a lot of related things that go with fibromyalgia. I had Lupus and Sjogrens Syndrome first. Was told they often accompany it.

Still do. Only thing keeping me from that is how I haven’t had loss of mobility in any limb, no blindness/blurry vision, and my muscle twitching, rashes, TMJ, and Tinnitus seem more common in Fibro than MS. Otherwise every symptom overlaps. Going on Month 5 now.
