Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated! At night I go through 3 - 4 pillows and must change my night clothes, its quite bad during the day also (to the point of being embarrassment). Sometimes my sheets are soaked from my ankles to my head. I can actually see the out line of my body.
I've had to deal with this too. It's miserable! I found a WONDERFUL cream that I use during the hotter months. It is called Hot Flash Freedom. It really works great. I just rub it on either the inside of my arms or on my chest. Also drinking tons of water helps. If I'm really hot, I like to drink cold sparkling water, the kind that comes in a plastic bottle. Something else that helps, but not as well is Geranium Essential oil rubbed on the back of your neck. www.hotflashfreedom.net
Unfortunately many of us on here have the same problem. I can take a shower and dry my hair and five minutes later my hair is soaked. I'm not sure why we have this happen but at least we are not alone. Welcome to my fibro team.
Did Dr put you on Cymbalta for Fibro? One of the common side effects of Cymbalta is excessive sweating, especially when they increase dosage. It also damaged my liver for a while. Liver is normal again after a year off meds. Beware of this drug. Not the great thing they thought it was going to be.
You might want to talk to your doctor about running some tests on you. I recommend some TB investigation because night sweats is one of it's major symptoms. Also your pancreas and thyroid. Just a few suggestions because it could be something nobody thought was significant. Almost forgot the gall bladder. I hope you are able to find because and remedy my friend. Have a Blessed Day!!
