Is Weightloss Exercise Possible With Fibro?
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

The saddest part of fibro for me is that it haulted my weightloss journey. I used to be 265lbs and now im 180lbs. I thought i had all the time in the world to lose the weight. Im still 25lbs away from my dream weight but the pain and fatigue is so heavy. Is this a realistic dream still?

I'm gonna be honest with you. I'm having the same issue but from what I've been reading and per doctor recommendation I'm doing at least 5 minutes of any type of exercise everyday. Even if it's just stretching! They say exercise is one of the best ways to alleviate fibro symptoms....so try to build up to doing some heavier exercises. I'm trying to do the same, so here's to us both succeeding! :)

Just push through as much as u can, I buy crates of bottles water and place them in view in the kitchen. If i get hungry and started wanting to eat alot, i grab a water and fill my stomach. Lost 3 stone in 2 months

I wouldn't know what to do if I weighed 265 lbs! I've battled with weight my entire life! In 2012 when I got married I weighed 465 lbs my heaviest weight ever! I didn't look like I weighed that much, at least that's what everyone told me but then again everyone has lied to me forever and I just found all this out! I've always suffered from Hypothyroidism and other medical stuff plus severe abuse for 15+ years then got married. I lost over 150 lbs just by changing my diet alone and portion control and going from soda to water! Honestly, I'd play in the yard with my kids or in the house as much as possible, do arm lifts, move any part of my body I could no matter if it hurt or not I did it. I've had back falls trust me cuz I'm back up AGAIN GRRR.... Cuz the put me on Gabapenton not happy but I told them nope not taking it, it made me gain 50 lbs in 3 months and my Thyroid numbers skyrocketed! I just lost 19 lbs again but its killing me especially being in bed almost a month! You got this ladies! Mind over matter!! That's what I have to tell myself! Oh and keto...is not good for you btw!
