Members shared varied experiences taking Lyrica and amitriptyline, both separately and together, with side effects ranging from severe leg cramps, shakiness, balance issues and falls, nightmares and hallucinations, to vertigo, though some found relief once their bodies adjusted or dosages were changed. Several members described helpful effects, including reduced nerve pain, less anxiety and agitation, and improved sleep when combining both medications at bedtime, with one member noting they've successfully taken amitriptyline for eight years. A recurring theme was the importance of working closely with doctors to monitor medication interactions and adjust dosages, as individual responses varied widely and finding the right combination often required patience and careful adjustment.

One of lyricra side effect is shaking your dosage might be too high, I was on 2 a day now I'm just taking it at night. I take amitriptyline at night as well. I have a great sleep now. Still fatigued but I've only been on lyrica for my third week.

Honestly, I went to school for Pharmacy Tech amongst being a CNA for quite a while and studied in other Medical fields but, the best thing to do is to have your Doctor or other prescriber take time to check for medication interactions to make sure that one medication isn't going to interfere with another one of your medications before you start taking it. I have a severe bout with Depression, Suicidal Ideation, PTSD, Epstein Bahr, Borderline Personalality Disorder and a few other things since my diagnosis in 1998 so I see an amazing Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and she makes sure to check everything if my PCP (DR) changes anything, even the dosage.
