Oh dear SandraBostick. I am guessing it was your practitioners that said this is normal to have pain all over your body....(so just deal with it). No, no, no!! They are puzzled and don’t know what they are missing. They’ve done/ordered everything they are familiar with with no definitive outcome.
The practitioners are puzzled with all of the lab tests ordered returning within normal limits. Meds may help temporarily or maybe not at all. Therapies offer temporary or no relief or actually make the pain worse. It seems like every treatment they initiate does not have”long term” results.
They have not hit the nail on the head.....some practitioners start to think it’s all in the patients imagination.
There is one area they have not addressed. They, who refers to all health educators, practitioners etc have not tied/connected all of these symptoms to something we do every day, many times a day. Diet, Food ( and yes, both are 4 letter words)
I was sent to a Clinic, outside the system, had lab work done that our clinics/hospitals are not able to complete, AND that one lab test is what identified the root cause of my fibromyalgia. With treatment initiated my pain was resolved by the 3rd week and has remained in remission......as long as I follow the DIET. The symptoms I do experience now are “nothing” compared to what I lived with for 25+ yrs.
I know, I should be writing a book, but I do hope this gives you some thoughts and ideas to pursue a different path in receiving appropriate tx. Ask your physician if diet could be impacting your situation. If they are not able to address this inquiry, then do ask where or who you could see in order to evaluate that aspect. Life is too short to be living with constant pain, when there is an answer out there.
With this diagnosis I feel a naturalistic practitioner has the background to nail this dx right on the head...

All of our doctors graduating from a school guided by the AMA -American Medical Association will have been taught using the same backgrounds. Mayo may or may not have a different answer for you. Our physicians were not educated with a very strong background in dietetics....that’s why there are dietitians...right . (?)
A physician with a holistic background would have more of a background in dietetics. Or you could just come to Fargo ND 👍. The medical field in the USA follows a pretty strong pharmacological practice. They are more into treating symptoms vs the root cause. I am attempting to relay facts and not opinion....I am a retired nurse of 35yrs. and have a high respect for our physicians. This is just one area they are not well versed in....for all practical purposes, their education did “not go there”.... This would be the reason I brought the article covering this connection to my Dr’s appt.
Your symptoms are not all in your head.....
Thank you very much for this info and yes I am having problems with these doctors I see!! So in retrospect I am in the search for a better informed team of doctors I am considering trying the Mayo Clinic maybe my doctors are just missing something or at least that's what I think!! Thank you very much.
