It frustrates me to no end if I don't write it down or do something straight away I forget it like the question I wanted to ask earlier and now it's gone out of my mind. Like I mentioned earlier I forgot where I put my shoes.

How do you guys cope with brain fog?

Members connected over the shared frustration of brain fog, describing how they forget conversations mid-sentence, misplace everyday items, and struggle to complete basic tasks like grocery shopping without becoming overwhelmed or anxious. Several members offered practical strategies that have helped them cope, including keeping notebooks and sticky note apps nearby, setting phone alarms for reminders, writing lists organized by location, and taking fish oil supplements (though one member cautioned about blood-thinning effects). A recurring theme was the emotional toll of losing mental sharpness, with many expressing grief over no longer feeling like themselves, yet finding comfort in community support, faith, and small tools that restore a sense of control.

Fish Oil capsules. 😊 My pain specialist suggested it to me cos my memory was so bad. Started on 1000mg a day, now on 4000mg per day. Have noticed a huge improvement with memory and fibro fog.

On-going problem. I try to write everything down and then try to remember to look at the list and/or try to figure out where I put the list. My phone seems to be a decent way of tracking things because you can set an alarm for anything. My job somedays is a challenge. I think it's only me that is aware of it. I think...

Make notes. Especially for the Doctor or specialist. If at all possible take someone to your appointment to help remember details and suggestions
