University Of Michigan Doctor Recommendation
A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have switched my Rhumatologist and am going to start going to U of M. I was wondering if anybody has a doctor recommendation? I am looking for a compassionate doctor. My old doctor would only give me 15 minutes of his time. I need somebody who will actually take time out of their busy schedule and listen to what I have to say.

Try a female doctor. I find they are more helpful about fibro.

Yeah. It sucks for sure. I spent 3 years battling with the fibro and trying to work constantly having a restricted schedule and reducing hours until I had no choice, but to quit. Every other doctor that I've seen plus my lawyer says that I'm disabled and this rhumatologist tells me that I can still work 20 hours a week. Pretty much stating that I was asking him to lie for and insurance company when my attendance record at my previous employment speaks for itself. Everybody else can testify, but like I said earlier he pretty much treated me like I was lazy. I cannot and will not go to a doctor that treats me like that.

I know that feeling after trying a new Rhum and she didn't spend 5 min didn't like my insurance and that I had left working due to complications that she wouldn't take me and that I didn't have Fibryo or Arthritis.
