S.H.I.N.E. Protocol

A MyFibroTeam Member asked a question 💭
Toronto, ON

Hi:
Has anyone tried Dr. Jacob Teitelbaum’s treatment protocol? I just started reading his book and have started on the D Ribose a few days ago. Just wondering if anyone’s had experience with it and if it was positive or negative.
Thanks!

Members shared mixed experiences with Dr. Teitelbaum's S.H.I.N.E. protocol, particularly regarding D-Ribose supplementation, with some expressing skepticism about his commercial interests while others reported significant improvements in energy and mobility. Several members described dramatic results from D-Ribose, including one who could suddenly walk without stopping and another whose pain nearly disappeared within 20 minutes, though others found no benefit or needed to adjust dosing due to tolerance issues. A recurring theme was the importance of individual experimentation since everyone responds differently, with many members also recommending complementary approaches like cutting out sugar, increasing protein intake, trying alternative supplement regimens, and addressing underlying thyroid issues that commonly accompany fibromyalgia.

Thanks so much for all of your replies. I truly appreciate it.
Lorraine and Pepper, I have followed a low carb diet, cutting out all sugar, even many fruits, and severely restricting gluten. It’s been great for weight loss, reducing brain fog and has really helped with managing my IBS-D. Unfortunately, can’t say it’s had much of an impact on my pain and crushing fatigue.

I wish you all a good night 💕

The best action I found to reduce inflammation and joint pain is to cut out sugar. It doesn't cost anything. I do take vitamin D and calcium, plus tramadol.

@A MyFibroTeam Member thank you, it's comforting to know there are alternatives.
Sadly I've seen many people here with thyroid imbalances, it seems to go hand in hand 😏
Wishing you a lovely day 🌸

@A MyFibroTeam Member I was so desperate that I started at the max of 15 grams. I agree with @A MyFibroTeam Member I am also skeptical about Dr T. More recently D Neuffer also put up a web site selling stuff. There are no cut and dried answers. And as individuals we all respond differently. 💕🌷🙏😄

Use d-ribose once a day but still not sure if it working against fibro fog. 3 times a day seemed to much. Sometimes valeriana helps better.
Give it a try, sportsmen use it.
